The Problem
Contracts routinely miss critical protections — liability caps, IP ownership, data privacy obligations — because review is manual and rushed. There's no systematic way to run a gap analysis against a standard at speed.
The Approach
Built a gap assessment engine: upload contract → select assessment standard (custom playbook, GDPR compliance, SOC 2 alignment) → AI runs clause-by-clause comparison → output is a scored gap report with severity ratings, missing clause summaries, and recommended remediation language.
Architecture / System Design
Assessment standards stored as structured requirement sets with mandatory, recommended, and optional clause categories. LLM performs semantic matching between contract clauses and standard requirements — not just keyword matching. Gap report rendered as an interactive dashboard with drill-down into each finding.
Outcomes
Live deployed application. Enables a complete contract gap analysis in under 5 minutes — work that typically takes 2–4 hours of paralegal time.
